How does Feeding Canadian Kids Work?
Feeding Canadian Kids partners with restaurants, caterers, chefs and home cooks to prepare and provide nutritious dinners to hungry kids in their community. We have also introduced our Families Feeding Families program where families prepare and deliver healthy meals to the homes of other families in need. We ask all of our partners to commit to preparing and providing dinners once a week for a minimum of two years, however, we prefer if the partnership is maintained until the need of the community being served is fully met. In other words, we encourage partnerships to continue until child hunger no longer exists. Visit our Be Our Partner page for more information.
Why does Feeding Canadian Kids Exist?
We are firm believers that child hunger is the result of food distribution issues in Canada, not food supply issues. We also believe, as a community of Canadians, that we have a shared responsibility to be part of the solution. Together, by utilizing existing resources and expertise, we can deliver nutritious dinners to kids in need and work to eliminate child hunger.
Feeding Canadian Kids aims to inspire the ongoing practice of social responsibility and giving-back to the communities in which we live. Our aim is to create donation models that offer ways of giving that can be integrated with ease and at minimal cost.
How does the Families Feeding Families program work?
We pair Host Families with Guest Families in their community and ask that they prepare and deliver kid-friendly healthy meals to their home at a minimum of 1x per week. We encourage families to sign-up with other families, friends with friends etc. to participate as Host Teams to provide added support and share in the experience. We facilitate our onboarding process for Host Families/Teams and Guest Families upon signing-up for the program on our website. Visit our Families Feeding Families page to learn more.
What if I want to donate meals but am unable to cook?
No problem. You can donate dinners through our partnership with The Real Food Kitchen. Visit The Real Food Kitchen for meal donation opportunities.

• Volunteer with us at our (remote) office: From the comfort and safety of your own home, help us with research, marketing and fundraising.
• Cook for an entire after-school program (1x per week). Learn More.
• Home Cook for a family in need through our Families Feeding Families program.
